North Harbour BMX

1986 - 2006 

We have been on the BMX scene since 1986 at various locations on Auckland’s North Shore until our track at Bush Road, Albany, was built in 1992. It has an 8-lane gate, a high concrete start ramp, floodlighting, lime stabilised track surface, and we think it’s one of the best in New Zealand.

2007-Today

The committee is constantly making changes to the track on recommendation of the rider’s to keep it exciting for those who race, and we have just had a world-renowned UCI track-builder join us in February 2007 to make it absolutely world class, hot mix corners and all!

We have various projects to complete that will further enhance the track after the world class upgrade. These include upgrading the power supply, re-installation of lighting poles, replacement of storage containers, and shifting the canteen to make for better access.

We have a large membership of riders aged from 4 years to 50+. The track is open to members of the public, when not used by the club, and the weekends often see many youngsters enjoying the challenge of our track.
